Gerhard Nehls
Gerhard Nehls grew up in Germany during the turmoil of World War II and was involved in the Battle for Berlin and suffered under Soviet Russian occupation. He emigrated as a young man to South Africa to work there under more favourable conditions as a goldsmith, but found a new future and purpose for life in Christ. His special gifts as an effective communicator resulted in extensive teaching ministry across Africa and beyond, but more so in producing a wealth of well researched books and evangelistic materials that serve many Christians and Muslims all over the world.
Gerhard Nehls pioneered Life Challenge Africa, researching classical Islam and its literature, conducting comparative studies in the Bible and Qur'an, authoring numerous books, training material and a number of booklets to motivate and assist Christians to reach out to Muslim friends and neighbours. He is the author the 12 part training DVD series 'Battle for the Hearts' (SIM and TWR). Gerhard has lead studies in specific Apologetics with regards to Islam and produced vital books including: the Trilogy: 'Christians Ask Muslims', 'Christians Answer Muslims', 'The Great Commission, You and the Muslims'.
